Expanding Access to Hearing Care in Trinidad

Across Trinidad and Tobago, Deaf and hard of hearing people face persistent barriers to timely care. A severe shortage of audiologists and hearing health specialists has resulted in long wait times for assessments, devices, and follow‑up services, delaying critical support for children, elders, and working adults alike. These gaps limit communication, educational opportunity, employment access, and overall quality of life. In solidarity with the Trinidad and Tobago Association for the Hearing Impaired, we are working to expand access to hearing care by strengthening and scaling the systems that deliver it. This collaboration centers community leadership and focuses on building sustainable capacity to reduce wait times and ensure care reaches people when it is needed.

Make Play Possible in Choiseul St Lucia

Playgrounds should be a universal right for every child. When children lack access to safe play, it is an equity issue and it is solvable. Play supports healthy bodies, confidence, friendship, creativity, and emotional wellbeing.

In Choiseul, St Lucia, students at a local school currently do not have a playground. That’s why we are partnering with the school and philanthropy minded supporters to change that and build a safe, joyful space where children can run, climb, imagine, and just be kids.

We serve as a funding intermediary, resourcing 25 plus African NGOs and civil society organizations across Rwanda, Kenya, Sierra Leone, Uganda, Zimbabwe, and beyond, spanning youth development, STEM education, poverty alleviation, and homelessness prevention. Too often, proximate leaders are expected to deliver transformational outcomes without consistent, flexible funding or the infrastructure support to sustain the work.

Cultivating Lamu’s Next Generation of African Leaders and Innovators

Across Lamu, Kenya, young people are growing up with immense creativity and potential, yet too many face limited access to safe spaces, mentorship, and real pathways to skills building and livelihood. When youth do not have consistent opportunities to create, learn, and be seen, talent goes untapped, confidence erodes, and local economies lose the energy and innovation that young leaders bring. In solidarity with Ubunifu Lamu, we are supporting youth development and community rooted economic growth by investing in a creative space where young people and elders express themselves through art, build practical skills, and strengthen belonging. This partnership helps cultivate the next generation of African leaders, innovators, and cultural stewards by creating room for youth to imagine boldly, practice leadership, and translate creativity into opportunity that can sustain them and strengthen Lamu over time.
